Tuesday, July 7th:
This morning we left at about 6:10 am from Minnesota. We drove... and drove... and drove. It was prettty though. So, that made it better.
One thing that we saw that was really cool was about 60 miles from Denver. We drove through a huge thunderstorm. The lightning bolts were big. But, we did not hear any thunder, which was strange. Once we got out of that it sprinkled and then the sun was in our eyes again.
At about 9:50 pm. We got to Canon City, where my other grandparents, Aunt Darby, and cousin Jack live. It was a long drive, but worth it.
States: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado
Miles: 1,060... Longest day!

Amy,
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty cold here today and rainy...no lightning though! I am usually not in California at this time so I'm kind of confused about when summer actually starts! It sounds like you all have had some weird weather on your trip too. 1060 miles is wayyyyy far. Hope you got to watch some good movies.
I've never heard of a Moon Eye fish. Did you cook one up for dinner?
Mrs. Surridge,
ReplyDeleteReally? I heard it was getting overcast. That is probably a nice break from the hot though. Haha! Yes, we have had very weird weather. Everything from 90 degrees just before 10:00 pm, to the sky being black because pf a storm.
It was a very long day! But, we all did good. Haha, ya. We watched like 8. LOL!!!
I had not heard of the Moon Eye Fish either. No, I did not have it for dinner. Haha!
